This unusual concoction is a powerhouse of vitamin C and fiber. Have it with your afternoon snack to complement a chat-pata dish. Remember to use fully ripe guava because they taste the best and you also need to add a little sugar to this drink so it makes more sense.

material

2 large guava
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp ginger juice

method

      Wash and cut into large dice guava.
      Place it in a saucepan along with the sugar and 11/2 cups water.
      Bring to a boil and simmer until tender guava.
      Really cool and puree in a blender.
      Add ginger juice and lemon juice and mix well.
      Fill half the glass with pulp and top up with cold water or ice cubes and serve immediately.
      Repeat to make 5 more drinks.

Tips

      You can also make a big batch when guavas are in season. Keep guava pulp in sterilized bottles and refrigerate. Use as needed.
      The easiest way to make ginger juice is grated ginger and squeeze the juice.
